I enjoyed visiting Alexandria, Virginia,  for the first time where I attended the WFWA annual in-person conference in late April. Meeting colleagues I had only known online and attending both informative sessions and networking events were positive experiences. My husband and I also enjoyed exploring a new city and visiting historical sites on a walk tour. We traveled by train, and our two hour layover in Washington, DC gave us the opportunity to have lunch in Union Station and see exhibits, shops and enjoy music.
